Client & Colleague Testimonials
Managing diabetes effectively requires a tailored approach for both new and experienced patients. For newcomers, education about blood sugar monitoring, diet, and medication is crucial to building a strong foundation. For long-time patients, ongoing support focuses on refining management strategies, addressing complications, and adjusting treatment plans as needed. By offering personalized guidance and encouraging regular check-ins, I have been able to empower my patients to maintain better control over their diabetes, improve their quality of life, and reduce the risk of complications.

Beth Santiago was the first professional I saw after I was diagnosed with diabetes. At the time I was in a funk and was very upset about everything going on and with my diagnosis. Beth was able to shed positivity on my situation and showed me the light at
the end of the tunnel that through hard work and lifestyle changes,
I would be able to live normal life again.
When I say this, I truly mean it, if it wasn’t for Beth being the first person I met in the field I would have had a much harder time getting on track.
I am beyond thankful for her, she was super professional, friendly, and kind and really helped me in a difficult time and in educating me, but also just as a person and telling me that everything would work out.
And as I continued seeing her, she kept reinforcing the hard work that I was putting in was paying off and that my numbers were really good and that if I kept it up my future looked bright when it came to diabetes. Almost a year later my numbers are all under control and in range of what “normal” numbers are and I attribute a lot of my success to Beth.

“I have been treated for Diabetes for over 20 years and have blessed to work with a number of excellent Diabetes Educators. Bethany (Beth) Santiago has been the BEST of them all! I spent 30 years as a Recruitment Professional in my career and have hired hundreds of people. This experience has helped me to evaluate professionals as potential hires both in business and my personal life. Bethany is extremely knowledgeable through her experience and education. She has been a Godsend to me in improving my approach to fighting this disease.
She recommended that I start using a Continuous Glucose Monitor over the past year and that decision has completely allowed me to monitor my readings on a real time basis. Additionally, she convinced me to start using Jardiance at the beginning of this year although I was reluctant to do that. The result of her recommendations to me has been a strong improvement in my Diabetes Numbers and a weight loss of 10 pounds.
It is a pleasure to work with Beth. She is truly concerned about you as a person as well as a patient. She has outstanding interpersonal skills, a tremendous amount of patience, and a wonderful approach to Diabetes Education. She spent a good bit of time teaching me and my wife (as my Caregiver) how to utilize the Glucose Monitor. In summary, I Highly Recommend Beth as your Diabetes Educator. Her rare combination of strong general medical knowledge, her specific expertise as a Diabetes Educator, and her wonderful way with people make her a definite Winner for any patient.”

"Beth has provided expert guidance and advice to help manage my diabetes for the past several years. She is very knowledgeable and able to interpret data and explain test results. She recommended I use an insulin pump and continuous BG monitor and taught me how to use them. She worked with my doctor to make adjustments in my insulin dosage and timing. She suggested many helpful changes in diet and exercise. My BG and A1C have improved dramatically as a result.
Beth is patient and nonjudgmental and takes the time to understand and answer questions thoroughly. She is a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend her to anyone in need of professional advice to help successfully manage their diabetes."

"Beth, as a major part of my Diabetes management team introduced me to the Omnipod 5 insulin pump system to be in constant communication with my Dexcom CGM. As a Type 1 diabetic that has a very active lifestyle both with work and personally this has changed my life completely for the better.
Beth initially interviewed me, gathered my health info, my endocrinologists recommendations, my lifestyles and my diabetic difficulties and used this info and my glucose level data to develop a program customized for me.
This program, the use of the Omnipod pump and Dexcom CGM and her guidance throughout has helped me avoid the daily injections and the associated pitfalls and has reduced my A1C levels from the 9’s to 6.2 - 6.5 and my life with diabetes has become so much more manageable. I am so grateful to Beth and my team for helping me live a better controlled life with diabetes."

"I have known and worked with Beth Santiago as a Diabetes Educator for at least 5 years and have enjoyed our time together and, if you can believe it, look forward to our meetings.
As a Type-1 diabetic with a lot of issues, I’ve had my fair share of interactions with the medical field; Beth stands near the top as someone who is an active listener and engages with you as a person. I feel heard, respected, and encouraged as an autonomous adult—not as a medical report that needs to be scolded and reprimanded (of which there’s plenty of that elsewhere).
She’s a wonderful person and I feel privileged to have been able to meet and work with her as a patient—so much so that I’ve happily followed our continued care via remote visits even though she’s moved nearly 700 miles away. I cannot recommend her more strongly."

"I want to thank you for all Beth's help and guidance with my husband George's diabetic needs. Working together, we have lowered his numbers, allowing him to eliminate his Lantus insulin altogether and dropping his Repaglinade tablet down to twice daily. My husband is a 39 year diabetic and I became his caregiver due to him developing dementia 7 years ago and I have had to count on Beth and the clinic for guidance. I want to thank her again for all her help and hope we can work together in the future.”

"I want to begin by saying thank you to Beth Santiago, for being such a great Diabetes Educator. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 1976, at age 5 1/2, things were different and difficult back then, but I managed. As time passed, and my career and family kept me busy, sadly (and regrettably) my Diabetes wasn’t managed very well.
I met Beth in 2021, and with her encouragement, support, and vast amount of information, I began using the Dexcom CGM and the OmniPod pump. EVERYTHING in my life got better! I had many, many questions, Beth was always available to answer them. I never knew how “bad” I actually felt, until I felt better! It changed my life, and ill be forever thankful to Beth for her encouragement and support in my journey to better Diabetes management.
My A1C was consistently between 7.8 and 9, for 25 years, my last A1C (August 2024) was 5.6! I am fully aware I would never achieve this without Beth’s help. Type 1 Diabetes is horrible, but it is manageable, and life goes on. Diabetes doesn’t have to dictate your existence; with Beth’s help, my life is 1,000,000 times better! I cannot thank her enough.. the best advice I can give any Type 1 Diabetic is - get Beth Santiago on your team! Thank you, Beth"
